Hard to believe that another month is gone and here we are in
August. Wing Ding
is just around the corner.
The District Ride in coming up quick and many District
Rallies are on the way.
During our meeting on Thursday, August 15th,
we will be
discussing any plans for WingDing,
attendance at the GA. District Ride-In, our Christmas Party and
a Veteran Benefit Ride.
Plus, anything else that anyone wants to bring up.
Our dinner club this week, is at Rocco’s in Jasper, next
week will be at Semper Fi in Woodstock and the week following
will be at Mellow Mushroom in Woodstock on Towne Lake Parkway.
After then we will be temporarily moving our dinner clubs
to Monday night since several of the usual participants will be
attending the Cherokee County Citizens Academy on Tuesday
evenings and some will be attending the Woodstock Citizen’s
Academy on Thursday evening. Please
let me know if you plan to attend any of the dinner clubs, so I
can plan for the tables.
Also, please let me know if you have any other ideas.
I am always looking for ideas.
Below is listed some of the rallies that are planned.
Please let me know if you need any further information on
any of them. The
information and flyers are all available on the District
Website.
Please take note that the Chapter R Website is back up and
running thanks to Marvin Clark.
He has built a calendar and I am working to put
everything on it.
It will have the Dinner Club plans, the upcoming GWRRA events,
all district events and anything that we try to plan as a
chapter on it. I
will also be putting all the chapter meetings in the district on
the calendar also.
This will take a little time, but I hope to everything up to
date on the calendar with the next week.
Please check it out and let me know if you see anything
that we need to add or delete.
Bonnie Kitzmiller, Charlotte Portero and Chris Tyler are working
on an entry for the Mascot contest at Wing Ding along with
participating in the “Hat Contest.”
I know they will have lots of fun with these and will
back lots of pictures for our website.
Sharon Clark and I are working on a Couple of the Year basket to
donate for the District Ride and pictures will be pot on the
website of that also.
Please remember that we are in the midst of
a dangerous heatwave and take care.
Be sure you stay hydrated and out of the heat as much as
possible. Please
remember as you are riding that the heat is still there, you
might not notice it as much, but the danger is there.
Stay Safe!!!

My kind of dieting buddy!
Mary announced that she was going to start a diet to lose some
pounds she had put on recently.
“Great” Sue exclaimed.
“I’m ready to start a diet too.
We can be dieting buddies and help each other out.
And when I feel the urge to drive out and get a burger
and fries, I’ll call you first.”
“Wonderful,” Mary replied.
“I’ll go with you.”
