Upon further review, I have been advised that Peace, Love and Pizza in Towne Lake is too small,
so we are moving the dinner club to Marco's Pizza located at:

2068 Eagle Drive - Woodstock, GA 30189 - 678-213-2100

Hope to see a big group there on Tuesday evening at 6pm.

Well, it has been a few days, but here is the low down on what has and will be going on with Chapter R!!!!!

At the last dinner club, the group of 13 at Rocco’s in Jasper. What a great group!!! I was not able to be there, but I heard a great time was had by all.

On Thursday, Ginger and I went down and picked up our new Chapter Shirts!!!! They are beautiful.

On Saturday, we had our monthly meeting and had a total of 26 people there. We had 17 members, 7 guest from Chapter B and 2 from District (but they are also our members). This is an awesome crowd. We handed out the shirts that had been ordered and are taking order for the next group now. I will be sending in the order for the new set next Monday, so get with me as soon as possible if you want to order shirts or hats.

We are NOT having our Monday night dinner club this evening, but will have a dinner ride tomorrow evening!!! We will be meeting at the Kroger Parking lot with kick stands up at 6:00 and then we will travel to Semper Fi on Main Street in Woodstock Ga. If you have not been here, the food is awesome and the restaurant itself is fun with a lot of stuff to look at from different branches of the service. Hope to see all of your there!!!

We are also going to have a group going to Chapter B next Saturday morning. They eat at 8:30am and then meet at nine. More details to come out on this one a little later this week!!! Hope to see a big group then, the weather is a little iffy, but hopefully it will clear up and we can ride the bikes.

All for now!!!!!!! Catch you later!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to give you a quick update. We had a total of 14 people to meet at Family Traditions for our Dinner Club. We had a great time with good food and great service. We hope you can join us for our next one at Rocco’s on 515 in Jasper. We will meet at 6 for dinner.

We have a couple of other things going on that I would like to bring up.

1. I am hoping a group will get together and go to the B-2 Chapter meeting on Saturday morning. They eat at 8 and meet at 9. We will need to leave Woodstock around 6:30am. It is supposed to be a little cool but clear, so it has possibilities, but if not on the bikes, then let put the cars on the road. Please let me know if you are interested.

2. I have also received a notice that Chapter S has the Hot Potato and we might get a visit from them at our next meeting so they can pass it off!!!!! Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See you soon!!!!

I spoke with Chris Tyler this evening and she has a suggestion for this Saturday for ride. We would leave out of the Walmart parking lot in Canton and head north. There are a lot back roads (she has detailed directions) and head up to Blue Ridge. I understand that the ride would take about 4 hours to get to Blue Ridge, we could then stop for something to eat or just head back, whatever the group decided. The weather is supposed to be good, with a high of 65 and only a 10% chance of rain.

Please let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks and hope to see you soon.

We had a great group of 12 at our Dinner Club on Monday night at La Bamba!!!!! We had a great time!!! Hope more are able to join us next week. Our dinner club will meet at Family Traditions on 140 next Monday night. The address will follow a little later in the week.

Update on the new Club Shirts!!!!

Ginger and I went back to the printers on Tuesday and got our artwork finalized and placed the order for the first set of shirts. We are very excited and hope you like them as well as we do. We had a couple of people request having their name embroidered on the shirts also so we ask about that. You can have your name put on the shirts for an additional $5.35 per shirt. If you are interested, I need to know as soon as possible. We will need to get a check from you (please make it out to Chapter R) and we will call the names in. The printer prefers to have one check. Please let me know as soon as possible. It looks like we will have the shirts back the end of next week or the early part of the following week.

Thanks to all and hope to see you soon.

Looks good for our Dinner Ride this evening! ! Hope to see a bunch of you there! I have missed seeing you during this weather mess and looking forward to this evening. I will be bringing all of the new shirt information with me tonight and I have already heard from several and will be placing an order tomorrow when Ginger and I go down to Pirate Printing!!!!!

Just need to clarify!!!!!

According to GWRRA rules, no adult beverages can be consumed during a GWRRA event (i.e. meeting, dinner ride etc.). We are all just meeting for dinner and fellowship, and just happen to have a common interest in Goldwings. That is the reason we call this our dinner club and not a dinner ride. We meet at the location and leave from there. If you choose to purchase and/or consume any adult beverage, we ask that do so responsibly. Just want to make sure everyone understands that this is not a GWRRA function! Please let me know if you have any questions.

See you soon!!!!!!!

Our plans for the Monday night dinner ride are La Bamba Mexican Bar & Grill which is located at 6109 Hickory Flat Hwy, Hwy 140 @ East Cherokee in Canton. We will meet there at 6pm. This is of course, subject to weather, but it looks like a go at this point.

I am also going down to the printing company about our shirts on Tuesday morning to get the process started with our artwork. I will be placing an order for shirts at that time, the orders I currently have are for Tom and I and for Charles and Ginger Grady. I will bring the information with me Monday and if anyone else wants to place their order, I will need a check and will be happy to place the order with ours. Once I have the shirts back, I will bring them for everyone to see.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Hope to see all of you there. I am getting a little crazy with not being out and seeing all of my friends!!!!!

Posted: 02/06/2016

What an awesome meeting!!!!!!

We had 18 members and 10 visitors!!!! Thanks to all that came. We had a big turn out from Chapter B-2.

Also, our mascot Woody, the Woodstock bird has come home!!!!!! Woody was the travel mascot for Chapter W before we combined with Chapter R. We will be adding to him so he has a Chapter R flare and he will be available for capture at our next meeting.

We discussed what we have found regarding our new shirts and I will be sending out a couple of emails with the information regarding the shirts. Due to the size of the files, I will be sending it out in a couple of emails, so no one has trouble with opening or receiving the file.

We have a couple of things coming up this weekend. We are going to cancel our Monday evening dinner due to the expected bad weather. Everyone stay safe.

Next Saturday, is the Chapter S’ Sweetheart Fun Day. This is a ride to Winder, lunch, games and more and they have the travel plaque. Starts at 10 and the plaque will be given away at 1:30. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are interested in a ride to this event. We need to send in a registration. This is fundraiser for them and the cost is $8 for GWRRA members and 9 for non-members. Each paid registration includes lunch and a grand prize ticket. There will be door prizes, a silent auction, 50/25/15/10 SS prizes for Chapter and Challenge Winners.

More to come later. Have fun and stay safe.

We had a great ride yesterday!!!! We had 5 bikes and 10 people that participated in the Plaque Attack on Saturday. We met at 11 and rode down to Southern Cooking in McDonough. Although we did not bring home the plaque, we all had a great time. There was a major traffic malfunction on 75 north when we started home, so we took some back roads and had a beautiful ride. Those that were not there were missed and we hope you can join us for the next ride.

Our dinner club will be meeting at Buffalo’s Café in Canton. The address is 1625 Ball Ground Highway, Canton, GA 30114. We meet at 6pm. Hope to see you there.

Just a reminder that our next chapter meeting is on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at IHOP on Hwy 20. We eat at 8, meeting at 9 and hopefully ride at 10. I was told yesterday, that Chapter B-2 (Douglasville) is planning to visit, so we should have a large group. Remember to bring door prizes if you have any. Let’s have some fun and greet some of our fellow riders.

Looks like Friday and Saturday are supposed to be clear with no rain (of that is subject to change), so could possibly be a good riding days.

Hope to see all of you soon!!!!!

Monday night we had a great crowd at FATZ in Jasper. We had 14 people and 4 people came on bikes. Awesome!!!!!

We had a great time and missed all of you that were not able to join us.

Our next event coming up is the Plaque Attack on Saturday January 30th. We are meeting in the parking lot of Goodwill on Hwy 92 right at 575. Kick Stands Up, cars in gear, whatever you are in, we are leaving at 11:00am. We are headed for Southern Cooking, 715 Industrial Blvd., McDonough, GA to meet with Chapter A and hopefully bring home the plaque. The weather is supposed to be clear, with a high of 63. Hope to see a big group and will ride down, have lunch and then head back!!! Come one, come all, hope to see you there.

We have not decided where to meet for dinner next week, I am open to suggestions and will send something out on Sunday afternoon, regarding the location.

Remember we have our monthly meeting coming up on February 6, 2016 at IHOP off Exit 20 in Canton. We had a great crowd last month and want an even bigger one this month. Don’t forget door prizes and re-gifting is fine. One man’s junk is another man’s treasure and the item that you have 2 of, just might be what someone else is looking for. We will have the Wing Fling tickets available for pickup and sale at this meeting.

The last thing, I want to mention is the Chapter S Sweetheart Fun Day on February 13, 2016. This will be in Winder and I need to send a count, so they can prepare food. So put this on your calendar and let me know how many plan to go.

Keep the rubber on the road and I hope to see each of you soon.

What a great time Monday night! We had 13 friends that met at Friends in Canton. This is a new restaurant that has opened at the old location of Hooters!!!! We had lots of fun and we missed you if you were not there.

We have decided to cancel our “Dessert Run” on Thursday due to the expected weather issues, but our next Dinner Club meeting is on Monday, January 25, 2016 and we will be meeting at Fatz in Canton. This is located on 515. If you are headed north you will pass Hwy 53 and it is across from the Home Depot on the right. We hope to see you there!

After I got home on Monday night, I received a call from Chris Tyler and she and Bill have an idea for an overnight trip. They are part of a campground in Cherokee, North Carolina and thought we might be interested in setting up a camping trip. We are thinking sometime later, (possibly sometime in April through August) and I would like to see who might be interested. Chris is going to send me some more details and I will forward them as soon as I have them. Just wanted to plant the idea.

We also have a possibility for a dessert ride…. , there is a place in downtown Woodstock called Pie Bar. We will try to set that up soon!!

We also have several other things coming up to place on the calendar. The Plaque Attack will be held on January 30, 2016 at Southern Cooking in McDonough and it would be great if we could get a big crowd to go for that. More details to come in the next day or so, also Chapter S is having their “Sweetheart Fun Day” in Winder on February 13th and we received a special invite for that also. I would like to be able to send them an approximate number, so let’s check all of our calendars and put this one on there.

Looking forward to seeing each and every one of you soon!!! Doesn’t matter if it is two wheels, three wheels, 4 wheel or more…. Even if you come on 2 legs, we just want to see you.

Keep the rubber road and eyes to the front!!!!

We had an awesome group of 15 people that met at JD’s BBQ on Bells Ferry last night for dinner. We had a great time and we missed those of you that were not able to be there.

Our next dinner club will be on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Friends in Canton. The address is 100 River Point Parkway (Hwy 20) just past the Walmart shopping center off of exit 20 from 575. If you are coming from the south, you would turn left and it will be right past the Walmart. We are meeting at 6 to eat and hope to see all of you there.

On Thursday, we are going to start something new for our Chapter. We are going to have a desert ride. We are looking for some places to make this happen. We are thinking of maybe going to Marietta Fish Company, Bay Breeze or Sidelines Grille in Canton. Please let me know what you think on this.

Your Assistant Chapter Director, Ginger Grady, and I are headed to the annual District GWRRA meeting this weekend at Buckners down close to Macon. All officers are encourages to attend, but all members are welcome. Please let me know if anyone else is interested.

More information coming soon!!!

I think it was a success!!! We had a total of 14 members and 5 guest!!!! We had two new members and 2 prospective members. We talked about the plans for the this year. We are currently planning some rides and more information will be coming on that.

We had discussed the “Dinner Club”. This is just a group from the chapter that meet for dinner on Monday evenings. This coming Monday, January 4th, 2016 we are meeting at Dos Margaritas off of Exit 20 from 575. It is in the same parking lot as the big Walmart. We are meeting at 6 and would love to have everyone join us.
Some other suggestions included La Bamba’s, Tampico’s (ss??), JD’s BBQ, BigUns and Rocco’s. Sounds like we will be having a lot of fun eating.

In January, Ginger Grady and I (possibly Don Mossman) plan to attend the officer meeting put by the District Staff on the 16th in Jackson, GA. That is the weekend of the MLK Holiday and weather permitting we might get a ride in on Monday with anyone that is available. We will forward details if the weather looks good.
Also there is a Plaque Attack at Southern Cooking in Winder if anyone is interested.

February brings our meeting on the 6th and then Chapter S is having their Sweetheart Fun Day on the 13th.
Hopefully we can get a group to go on that one.
It was great seeing all of your yesterday and I am looking forward to seeing of you again soon.

I should have the newsletter out shortly with more details.

Have a great week!!!!!!
